He then wrote and directed his first feature film “The Opening Act”\, about a comedian’s first time on the road with Jimmy O Yang\, Cedric the Entertainer\, Bill Burr\, Whitney Cummings\, Ken Jeong\, Iliza Schlesinger\, Tom Segura and many more. The film premiered to rave reviews and sits at 84% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Steve has been touring non stop as a regular at all the top clubs in the nation\, usually in support of his 5 hour specials\, his first two “Happy Hour” and “Byrne Identity” released on Comedy Central. “Champion” released on Netflix\, “Tell the Damn Joke” on Showtime and most recently\, released in Dec 2022\, “The Last Late Night” on Amazon Prime\, a late night talk show disguised as an hour special\, that’s rated 4.8 stars. With the release of his last hour\, Steve is currently working on his next 2 feature film projects\, touring material for the next special and his two podcasts: “Two Cool Moms” with Joe Gatto and “Comedy Piñata”.
