Since then\, Stella has appeared across North America\, Europe\, and Asia in numerous concerto\, recital\, and chamber music performances. She appears frequently with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center both in New York and on tour. \nStella has appeared as a chamber musician in festivals including the Ravinia\, Seattle Chamber Music and several others. Chamber music partners include Itzhak Perlman\, James Ehnes and Matthew Lipman. She is the inaugural recipient of the Robert Levin Award from Harvard University\, where she was inspired by Robert Levin himself. She received her doctorate from the Juilliard School where she now serves as teaching assistant to her longtime mentor Li Lin. He was the first and only harpsichordist to be a BBC New Generation Artist (2008-2010)\, a Borletti-Buitoni prize winner (2009)\, and a nominee for Gramophone’s Artist of the Year (2014\, 2015\, 2017. As a concerto soloist\, he has performed with major symphonies and chamber orchestras and contemporary music ensembles around the world. \nEsfahani’s work with new and modern music is particularly acclaimed\, with high-profile solo and concertante commissions from composers such as George Lewis\, Brett Dean\, Bent Sørensen and other contemporary voices. He also serves as Executive Director of the Banff International String Quartet Competition. \nJeremy McCoy\, double bass\nFor 35 seasons\, Jeremy McCoy served as the Co-Principal double bass for the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra\, playing in more than 5\,000 performances under music directors James Levine and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. He retired from that position in 2020\, but continues to be a highly sought after artist in orchestral and chamber settings. His interest in authentic performance has included collaborations with period-instrument ensembles such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. \nHe has recorded the Chopin Cello Sonata with Dénes Várjon for Hyperion using one of Chopin’s own pianos. Bach as well as sonatas by Handel and Scarlatti. \nMr. Isserlis is also a keen exponent of contemporary music and has premiered many new works including John Tavener’s The Protecting Veil\, Thomas Adès’s Lieux retrouvés\, and Stephen Hough’s Sonata for Cello and Piano\, Left Hand (Les Adieux). In 2016\, he gave the UK premiere of Olli Mustonen’s Frei\, aber einsam at the Wigmore Hall. \nHis recording of J.S. Bach’s complete Solo Cello Suites for Hyperion met with the highest critical acclaim and was Gramophone’s Instrumental Album of the Year and Critics’ Choice at the Classic BRITS. Other recent releases include a Grammy-nominated album of sonatas by Martinů\, the Brahms Double Concerto with Joshua Bell and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields\, and concertos by Haydn and C.P.E. In 1993 she was awarded the Sylva Gelber Award for most outstanding classical artist under age 30. At the age of nine\, she made her orchestral debut with Mendelssohn’s first Piano Concerto with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. \n​As soloist\, she has appeared with orchestras throughout Canada\, the U.S. and Europe. She has performed countless solo recitals worldwide as well as chamber music performances with many world-renowned musicians. To critical acclaim\, she appears regularly in recital with cellist Steven Isserlis and has performed at concert venues across Germany with the cellist Manuel Fischer-Dieskau\, with whom she recorded the first-ever CD of the Sonatas for Piano and Cello by Carl Reinecke and the complete Beethoven sonatas. \nMs. Shih’s performances are frequently broadcast via television and radio on CBC\, BBC\, SWR\, NDR and WDR\, as well as on other various television and radio stations in North America and Europe.

DESCRIPTION:Reinventing the ukulele into an instrument of seemingly boundless capabilities\, Hawaii native Jake Shimabukuro fuses his deft fingerpicking technique into a unique style that includes elements of jazz\, blues\, funk\, rock\, bluegrass\, classical\, folk\, and flamenco. The virtuoso will be returning to Rockport for a special\, intimate duo format likely to include his jaw-dropping interpretations of pop classics (“Bohemian Rhapsody\,” “Hallelujah”) as well as his own thrilling compositions. \nShimabukuro was given his first ukulele at age 4 and never looked back. His mother\, an accomplished ukulele musician in her own right\, got him started and soon the Honolulu native started performing in and around Hawaii and developing his own fanbase. He joined the acclaimed Hawaii trio Pure Heart and later the band Colón before going out on his own in 2002. Shimabukoru first gained mainstream recognition in Japan (where he frequently tours)\, releasing several records that became hits in Japan. \nBut it wasn’t until a friend posted a clip of the young ukulele maestro on YouTube that Shimabukuro broke out into the American market. The clip\, a cover of the Beatles’ “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” went viral and soon he was getting collaboration requests from stars including Jimmy Buffett\, Béla Fleck\, Ziggy Marley\, Cyndi Lauper\, and Yo-Yo Ma. He toured with Buffett in 2005\, 2006 and 2007\, and is featured on several of Buffett’s albums and videos\, including his 2007 CD/DVD release Live in Anguilla. \nHis records began getting major distribution and radio play\, the budding worldwide star finding a sweet spot between pop\, world\, bluegrass and classical\, mixing in pop covers with his own intricate compositions. His 2011 release\, Peace Love and Ukelele rose to #1 on Billboard’s world music charts. Subsequent records like 2012’s orchestral Grand Ukelele and 2015’s more intimate Travels showcased the breadth of Shimabukuro’s talent and interests. Also just released on Reference Recordings is the complete Beethoven concerti with Sir Donald Runnicles and the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra. \nAn avid chamber musician\, Mr. Ohlsson has collaborated with the Cleveland\, Emerson\, Tokyo and Takacs string quartets. His recording with the latter of the Amy Beach and Elgar quintets released by Hyperion in 2020 received great press attention. Mr. Ohlsson has also appeared in recital with such legendary singers as Magda Olivero\, Jessye Norman and Ewa Podleś. Among Mr. Ohlsson’s many awards and competition prizes\, it was his 1970 triumph at the International Chopin Competition\, where he won the Gold Medal (and remains the single American to have done so)\, that brought him worldwide recognition as one of the finest pianists of his generation. In recognition of the Chopin Bicentenary in 2010\, Mr. Ohlsson was featured in a documentary “The Art of Chopin” co-produced by Polish\, French\, British and Chinese television stations and in August 2018 the Polish Deputy Culture Minister awarded him with the Gloria Artis Gold Medal for cultural merit. \nMr. Ohlsson can be heard on several major labels such as RCA Victor Red Seal\, Nonesuch\, Telarc and Hyperion. His ten-disc set of the complete Beethoven Sonatas\, for Bridge Records\, has garnered critical acclaim\, including a GRAMMY® for Vol. 3. In 2008 Hyperion re-released his 16-disc set of the Complete Works of Chopin\, and more recently Scriabin’s Complete Poèmes\, Smetana Czech Dances\, and études by Debussy\, Bartok and Prokofiev. The latest CDs in his ongoing association with Bridge Records are the Complete Scriabin Sonatas\, “Close Connections\,” a recital of 20th-Century pieces\, and two CDs of works by Liszt. Mr. Ohlsson is a Steinway Artist and lives in San Francisco.

She performs this intimate solo concert in support of her new album The Road\, to be released in May. \nChina Forbes was born and raised in Cambridge\, Massachusetts and graduated cum laude from Harvard\, majoring in Visual Arts and English\, with a minor in Theater. Juston would go on to sign sitcom development deals with Warner Brothers\, CBS\, IFC and Comedy Central.\nHe has appeared on numerous Comedy Central shows including his half-hour Comedy Central Presents special and his own one-hour special.  He has appeared several times on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien as well as a Showtime Comedy Special with Rob Gronkowski. He has appeared twice at Denis Leary’s\, Comics Come Home at the TD Garden. His TV & movie credits include The King of Queens\,100 Centre Street\, The Zoo Keeper and Here Comes the Boom. He recently wrote and starred in the short film\, Suck It Up\, which screened at the NH Film Festival.
