SUMMARY:The Robert Cray Band - 2026 ALL AMPED UP Tour
DESCRIPTION:Blues icon. Soul man. Rock and roller. Robert Cray is all these things – and more. \nThe Georgia born\, Washington-raised musician first picked up a guitar after seeing The Beatles on TV then\, having witnessed Jimi Hendrix perform in Seattle\, determined that his destiny would also follow a similar path. And so he has: across the past half century Robert Cray’s developed into one of American music’s most singular artists. \n“I guess you’d have to say that we were lucky\,” reflects Cray on his life in music\, “because\, growing up in the 1960s\, the different music played on the radio really opened us up. I mean\, we even had Albert Collins play our high School graduation party.” \nFrom forming a teenage garage band\, through to striding the stage alongside several of the world’s greatest guitarists\, Robert Cray’s story is one of struggle and commitment. Struggle and commitment that led to Cray enjoying phenomenal success – selling millions of albums and countless concert tickets\, winning five Grammy Awards\, being inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame\, recipient of the Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award\, designing two signature model Fender guitars – yet for Robert what’s always mattered most is the music. Every note he plays counts\, every song he sings is delivered as if it is his last: integrity and intensity are what has guided Cray’s musical career. He has never cheapened his output or delivered a substandard performance. Indeed\, his commitment to making music of the highest standard has won Cray both a loyal audience and the respect of many of popular music’s most legendary figures. \nThink about it: Robert Cray has shared stage and/or studio with the likes of John Lee Hooker\, Muddy Waters\, B.B. King\, Buddy Guy\, Chuck Berry\, Albert Collins\, The Rolling Stones\, Eric Clapton\, Tina Turner\, Stevie Ray Vaughan\, the Memphis Horns and Hi Rhythm Section. Cray’s stinging guitar playing and soulful voice\, his skills as a band leader and performer\, mark him as keeper of the flame for American roots music\, an artist who never fails to deliver. \n“We were so lucky just be able to see them\,” says Cray of trading guitar licks on stage with legends of blues\, rock and soul\, “let alone share the stage with them – what an experience!” \nCray’s rise to the top was\, like his music\, a slow burn\, he first building a following in small towns across the Pacific Northwest. Even before Cray had a record deal he enjoyed local hero status – so much so in 1978 he was cast (as a musician) in Animal House\, the blockbuster comedy that made John Belushi famous. 1978 was also the year Cray recorded his debut album\, Who’s Been Talkin’\, although Tomato Records’ internal problems held up Talkin’s release until 1980. And then\, just as Talkin’ was winning great reviews\, Tomato collapsed into bankruptcy. Got the blues? Young Robert certainly could have claimed he had them. But Cray isn’t given to complaining\, instead he persevered\, committed then\, as he is now\, to taking his music to the people. \nAfter Tomato\, Cray and his band – today consisting of Richard Cousins (bass guitar – there since high school days)\, Dover Weinberg (keyboards) and Les Falconer (drums) – used the momentum the album gave them to play further afield. By now Cray was buddies with a young guitarist from Texas: Stevie Ray Vaughan. \n“We played in 1979 at the San Francisco Blues Festival\,” recalls Cray\, “and I watched Stevie’s show and he’s just smoking. Afterwards Richard and I went up and chatted with him and we just hit it off. Stevie was great – if we were in Austin he’d always come and join us on stage.” \nSigning to Hightone\, Cray’s 1983 album Bad Influence established him internationally: he was invited to play Carnegie Hall\, toured Europe\, later finding Eric Clapton recording Bad Influence’s \ntitle track. 1985 saw Cray’s False Accusations album increase his standing as the foremost singer of blues noir songs\, while that year’s Showdown! – a sizzling collaboration with guitarists’ Albert Collins and Johnny Copeland – won Robert huge acclaim from blues musicians and fans: the new guy’s the real deal! Signing to Mercury Records\, Cray’s 1986 album Strong Persuader ensured he became the first blues/soul musician to breakthrough in the MTV era. \nStrong Persuader won Cray rave reviews from pop and rock critics\, topped charts worldwide\, saw Cray grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and winning the Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Recording in 1988. Strong Persuader\, with its songs of infidelity\, guilt and unease\, while not in any sense conventional Top 40 music\, proved so strong an album it broke through barriers\, sold millions of copies and would prove extremely influential (2026 being the 40th anniversary.) Cray’s \nbreakthrough allowed both young and older blues and soul musicians to gain wide attention and radio play: John Lee Hooker’s career resurrection came soon after with The Healer\, and Robert plays on that seminal album. \n“It was great to be able to travel around the world\,” says Cray of Strong Persuader’s success. “It afforded us a lot of great opportunities that we were lucky to experience.” \nCray’s being modest here: suddenly he found himself the hottest guitarist working – Tina Turner invited Robert to support her huge European tour (every night\, after playing with his band\, Cray would join Tina on stage to play A Change Is Gonna Come)\, then Keith Richards called\, requesting Cray join the band backing Chuck Berry for Taylor Hackford’s celebratory feature length documentary Hail Hail Rock ‘N’ Roll. Here Cray not only got to play with the mercurial Berry (+Linda Ronstadt and Etta James\, amongst many notable artists)\, he also formed a friendship with Steve Jordan\, then drummer for the project and Richards’ solo band. \nNow internationally famous\, Cray found himself in intense demand: he toured with The Stones and played with B.B King\, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. Headlining in noted music festivals – these included Glastonbury in the UK and Crossroads Guitar Festival in the US – and kept developing his sound over a selection of strong albums across the 1990s. Cray’s songwriting has addressed ageing\, love\, loneliness\, domestic turmoil and US politics. \nAs an artist Robert Cray’s aged like fine wine – his voice has developed a greater range and expressiveness\, this he’s put to use on masterful interpretations of such Southern soul standards as I Forgot To Be Your Lover (William Bell)\, Your Good Thing Is About To End (Mable John) and Nobody’s Fault But Mine (Otis Redding). At the same time\, Cray’s guitar playing now possesses an additional depth\, a growl that can hint at a caress then signal emotional upheaval. \nHis recent run of albums – 2014’s In My Soul\, 2017’s Robert Cray & Hi Rhythm and 2020’s masterful That’s What I Heard (all produced by Steve Jordan: now the Stones’ drummer) – are amongst the very finest he’s made. Every song here is deeply felt\, whether an agonised song of loss\, an angry protest number\, or a dance tune that gets audiences pumping (My Baby Likes To Boogaloo is great funky fun). \nAcross five decades Robert Cray has created a richly inclusive American music\, revitalising both blues and soul while rocking hard with the very best. To achieve 50 years in the music industry and still be as fresh and committed as when starting out is an achievement few can boast of but Cray can: he has released 19 studio albums\, every one replete with his extremely distinctive songs\, won five Grammy Awards and continues to make music that sounds like no one but Robert Cray. “All these years we have been fortunate to do what we love doing\, playing the music we love playing\,” says Cray with a smile. “I couldn’t ask for anything more. \nVIP Merchandise Package Includes:\n-Premium Concert Ticket \n-Exclusive T-shirt -Autographed 8×10 Photo \n-Exclusive VIP Merch Item

SUMMARY:The Wailers
DESCRIPTION:In 2026\, The Wailers celebrate 50 years of Rastaman Vibration\, marking a defining moment in reggae history and honoring one of Bob Marley & The Wailers’ most influential albums. \nThis special tour\, 50 Years of Positive Vibrations\, highlights select cuts from Rastaman Vibration alongside the timeless classics that continue to unite audiences across generations. \nReleased in 1976\, Rastaman Vibration was a pivotal album that carried reggae’s message of resistance\, spirituality\, and hope onto the global stage. Songs like “Positive Vibration\,” “Roots\, Rock\, Reggae\,” and “War” remain as relevant today as ever — powerful expressions of music as both a cultural force and a call for unity. \nUnder the leadership of Aston Barrett Jr.\, son of legendary bassist Aston “Familyman” Barrett\, The Wailers continue to honor their roots while carrying the music forward with purpose and authenticity. Joined by Mitchell Brunings\, whose soulful vocals and commanding stage presence have captivated audiences worldwide\, the band delivers performances that embody the enduring spirit of reggae — uplifting\, conscious\, and deeply human. \nIn a unique crossover into film\, Aston Barrett Jr. portrayed his father in the 2024 biopic Bob Marley: One Love\, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Kingsley Ben-Adir. His portrayal added rare authenticity\, grounded in lived experience and a deep personal connection to the legacy. \nAlongside honoring the past\, The Wailers remain firmly rooted in the present. Their recent albums One World and Evolution — both Grammy-nominated — reaffirm the band’s creative vitality. Evolution\, produced by Grammy Award-winner Emilio Estefan Jr. on Crescent Moon Records\, blends classic roots reggae with contemporary global influences\, with songs like “Love Should Be Free” resonating worldwide for their positive and socially conscious message. \nAudiences can expect a soul-stirring setlist that weaves together the revolutionary spirit of Rastaman Vibration\, the band’s classic anthems\, and select modern highlights — all delivered with the same authenticity\, musicianship\, and heart that made The Wailers a cornerstone of global music. \n50 Years of Positive Vibrations is more than a tour — it’s a celebration of music with meaning\, a living connection between reggae’s golden era and its continuing power to inspire unity\, resilience\, and hope.

SUMMARY:The Aimee Mann & Ted Leo Christmas Show
DESCRIPTION:Ft. Paul F. Tompkins\, Nellie McKay & Josh Gondelman \n“Delightful…a Santa-stupefying balance of naughty and nice…with the giddy warmth of an eggnog buzz. Hangover included\, of course.” – New York Times \n“Genuine\, irony-free good cheer had been spread\, making Mann’s Christmas extravaganza one of the season’s best gifts.” – Boston Herald \nAimee Mann and Ted Leo began collaborating\, under the inconspicuous band name the Both\, in 2013. The pairing revealed two artists with more in common than one might suspect. Mann\, a generational singer-songwriter\, was\, in her formative years\, a punk\, before coming up playing in the New Wave favorites ’Til Tuesday\, and eventually turning to the wry ballads for which she is revered. Leo\, a New Jersey-bred punk hero\, is a biting lyricist attuned to the nuances of pop songcraft. Both are fiercely independent artists\, free to follow their muses where they travel—even if that happens to be a holiday variety show that mixes jovial Christmas classics with piquant original songs. A seasonal tradition for Mann since 2006\, the concert includes sketches and guests from both musical and comedic realms. – New Yorker Magazine

SUMMARY:Blood Sweat & Tears w/ Special Guest Jim Fielder\, Founding Member of BS&T
DESCRIPTION:The Band’s Only New England Appearance in 2024! \nBS&T has never stopped touring. Fans have their favorite musicians who are originals to them and we all agree but it is simply Blood Sweat and Tears at its best. \nBlood Sweat and Tears was born from a selfish notion that we could combine the sophistication and musical skill level of jazz music with the energy and universal appeal of rock vocal music. Instead of incessant whiny guitar interludes\, we would have improvised\, spontaneous jazz solos. Horn arrangements were not an afterthought\, they were fully integrated into the songs themselves\, some written by band members and others that would come from many different resources. These are the ideas that formulated the concept of BS&T. \nThe most commercially successful version of the band was in fact\, our second line-up. That set the course of seeking out the most talented musicians and having a revolving door for stars to join us while in between their tours. And it worked! No bored players here.

SUMMARY:THE LAST WALTZ Celebration featuring The THE BAND Band & Special Guests
DESCRIPTION:The THE BAND Band presents a celebration of The Last Waltz\, bringing to life one of the most historic concerts of the rock era. \nOn Thanksgiving Day in 1976\, concertgoers packed San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom to witness The Last Waltz – the farewell performance of The Band’s legendary 16-year career. The group\, who had originally come to worldwide attention as Bob Dylan’s backing band\, had gone on to record eight albums on their own that featured such classic songs as “The Weight\,” “Up on Cripple Creek\,” and “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.” \nThe farewell party they hosted that Thanksgiving night featured a who’s who of rock royalty from Bob Dylan\, Neil Young and Eric Clapton to Van Morrison\, Joni Mitchell and Ronnie Hawkins. “It was one of the most incredible concerts ever held\,” says Gary Solomon\, co-founder of the Rockland County\, NY based tribute act The THE BAND Band\, who happened to be in the audience that night! \nThe THE BAND Band recreates the music and the magic of that Thanksgiving evening with The Last Waltz Celebration\, performing The Band’s most beloved songs and enlisting a dozen guest musicians\, including a horn section\, to the cover numerous artists and songs featured in the original concert. The lineup includes fiddle player Larry Packer\, who played with The Band at the original concert in 1976. For Solomon\, the show resonates on a personal level. “Having been at The Last Waltz on Thanksgiving Day nearly a half century ago\, and now performing it with my tribute band\, really feels like things have come full circle.”

SUMMARY:Caspian
DESCRIPTION:Long-running cinematic rock band Caspian don’t want you to call their fifth album a “redemption\,” a “comeback\,” a “rise from the ashes\,” or any of the other sentiments that emerge when bands return from nearly five years of silence. “I’ve grown weary of reading about bands discuss the renewing\, rehabilitative properties their most recent [album] has had on them\,” says guitarist/keyboardist Philip Jamieson. “They incur corrosion\, come close to running out of gas\, descend into the dark abyss\, and finally emerge on the other side with a record that has given them crystal clear perspective and a confident path forward. On Circles is not that record.” \nInstead\, this majestic collision of post-rock\, metal\, shoegaze\, electronics\, noise\, minimalism and ambient music is an existential meditation\, an acceptance of the cyclical nature of both life and career. Recorded at Studio 4 in Conshohocken\, PA\, by producer Will Yip (Code Orange\, Defeater\, Quicksand\, Turnstile)\, On Circles marks the most organic writing and recording sessions in Caspian’s 15-year history. Together for four weeklong songwriting sessions\, the band (joined by propulsive new drummer Justin Forrest)\, opted for music gleaming with visceral impact instead of over-thought tangles\, over-arching concepts and drawn-out crescendos \nOn Circles is an art-rock record swirling with fourth-world saxophones\, dubby textures\, 7/8 rhythms and hard-sawed cello from Jo Quail (Myrkyr\, Winterfylleth\, Poppy Ackroyd). The band stretches out to make room for guitarist Jonny Ashburn’s melodic interplay (“Division Blues”)\, bassist Jani Zubkovs’ punk shredding (“Collapser”) and the mandolin of founding member Calvin Joss (“Flowers of Light”). Guitarist Erin Burke-Moran wrote a pastoral-to-epic\, chamber-rock journey (“Ishmael”) as a tribute to eight months spent on the Appalachian trail. The wistful “Nostalgist” features vocals from Kyle Durfey of fellow Northeastern alterna-rock grandeur artists Piano Becomes the Teeth. For the first time\, each track is meant to stand alone. \n“They’re just songs that we got together and wrote over the course of a year while trying to have a good time and reclaim whatever it is that’s simple about all of this\,” says Jamieson. “Don’t get me wrong\, we kicked our own asses constantly and stayed up staring at the ceiling thinking about song structures all night for a year here … but being free from the yolk of having our music relentlessly try to answer the un-answerable was emancipating and humbling.” \nThe band’s deeply personal 2015 LP Dust and Disquiet was a concept record about grief\, dealing with the emotions after losing friend and bassist Chris Friedrich in 2013. After the two years of global touring that followed\, Caspian took their first-ever long term hiatus – or what Jamieson called “an overdue emotional inventory.” The reflection raised questions about the friction between artistic inspiration and financial reality\, the increasingly demystified trudge of road life\, and if “the healing power of music” is even a realistic expectation after all. During that time Jamieson personally traversed an “ugly grey underworld of depression\, lethargy and emotional ambivalence\,” inspiring the lyrics to the title track. \n“Music is a mediator to the unspeakable\, and the unspeakable is always by definition out of reach\, moving somewhere invisibly along the closed curve of a circle\,” says Jamieson. “Acknowledging all this\, what if we just made an album for the simple sake of making music\, with as few existential expectations as we are capable\, with as much of our self-importance sidelined as possible in order to facilitate that?” \nEschewing many of the giant\, enveloping wall-of-guitar build-ups of past Caspian albums\, the songs inside On Circles even take circular paths\, with no beginning or ends. \n“Life isn’t a series of epic crescendos\, ” says Jamieson. “Sometimes it’s the hint of one (‘Onsra’)\, or a sequential series of crescendos that come in waves but aren’t set up to go for an obvious jugular (‘Wildblood\,’ ‘Ishmael’)\, or end up in a completely different place than where you expected\, but pivot at the very last moment back to their beginning (‘Division Blues’).”

DESCRIPTION:Alan Cumming (Cabaret\, The Good Wife) and Ari Shapiro (NPR’s All Things Considered\, Pink Martini) both transport audiences to other worlds through their stories. Now\, they’re joining forces in SONG. Witness the critically acclaimed evening of tunes and tall tales titled “Och & Oy! A Considered Cabaret”. Musical direction by Henry Koperski. \nIn a statement\, Cumming said\, “I’ve got to know Ari over the last few years\, both socially and when he interviewed me for a couple of events. The last time was an evening in D.C.\, and by the end of it I realized our chemistry and the unusual combo of us\, as well as the fact that Ari has an amazing voice\, would make for a really great cabaret show. And kapow! We’re doing it! What I love most is it’s fresh and ever-changing.” \nShapiro added\, “When Alan first suggested that we create a show together\, I didn’t quite believe him. Then as we started to dig in to this collaboration\, I realized how much our professional lives actually complement each other. We’re both storytellers who try to help audiences better understand themselves and the world around them. This show lets us explore those shared ideals on stage together\, through stories and songs.”
