Essex County is home to an extraordinary collection of homes, buildings and artifacts from America’s First Period (1625–1725) of European settlement. Explore these architectural treasures and discover what it was like to live in Essex County during America’s first century. Join us for 17th Century Saturdays from June through October on the first Saturday of the month. First Period properties throughout the area will be open to the public, many offering special tours, and theater and art events. In 2019, it will be held on June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7 & October 5.
Please note, the Beverly properties (Balch House, Cabot House and The Hale Farm) will not be participating on October 5.
