SUMMARY:Big Head Todd and the Monsters - 40th Anniversary Tour
DESCRIPTION:TWO NIGHTS!\nSat\, 1/25 at 8PM\nSun\, 1/26 at 7PM \nIn this life\, very few friendships withstand the test of time. Naturally\, people go their separate ways and chase their own dreams. As rare as it may be for friendships to last a lifetime\, it might be even rarer for a band to stick together for the long haul. For close to four decades\, the members of Big Head Todd and The Monsters—Todd Park Mohr [vocals\, guitar\, keys\, sax\, harmonica]\, Brian Nevin [drums]\, Rob Squires [bass\, vocals]\, and Jeremy Lawton [keyboards\, lap pedal/steel guitar\, vocals]—have continued to both throw down in the studio and light up stages worldwide. Rallying around a core vision\, the platinum-selling Colorado quartet kick out the kind of blues-drenched rock ‘n’ roll bangers that make you want to rev the engine a little louder\, sing along like no one’s looking\, and live a little freer.

SUMMARY:The Aimee Mann & Ted Leo Christmas Show
DESCRIPTION:Ft. Paul F. Tompkins\, Nellie McKay & Josh Gondelman \n“Delightful…a Santa-stupefying balance of naughty and nice…with the giddy warmth of an eggnog buzz. Hangover included\, of course.” – New York Times \n“Genuine\, irony-free good cheer had been spread\, making Mann’s Christmas extravaganza one of the season’s best gifts.” – Boston Herald \nAimee Mann and Ted Leo began collaborating\, under the inconspicuous band name the Both\, in 2013. The pairing revealed two artists with more in common than one might suspect. Mann\, a generational singer-songwriter\, was\, in her formative years\, a punk\, before coming up playing in the New Wave favorites ’Til Tuesday\, and eventually turning to the wry ballads for which she is revered. Leo\, a New Jersey-bred punk hero\, is a biting lyricist attuned to the nuances of pop songcraft. Both are fiercely independent artists\, free to follow their muses where they travel—even if that happens to be a holiday variety show that mixes jovial Christmas classics with piquant original songs. A seasonal tradition for Mann since 2006\, the concert includes sketches and guests from both musical and comedic realms. – New Yorker Magazine

SUMMARY:Blood Sweat & Tears w/ Special Guest Jim Fielder\, Founding Member of BS&T
DESCRIPTION:The Band’s Only New England Appearance in 2024! \nBS&T has never stopped touring. Fans have their favorite musicians who are originals to them and we all agree but it is simply Blood Sweat and Tears at its best. \nBlood Sweat and Tears was born from a selfish notion that we could combine the sophistication and musical skill level of jazz music with the energy and universal appeal of rock vocal music. Instead of incessant whiny guitar interludes\, we would have improvised\, spontaneous jazz solos. Horn arrangements were not an afterthought\, they were fully integrated into the songs themselves\, some written by band members and others that would come from many different resources. These are the ideas that formulated the concept of BS&T. \nThe most commercially successful version of the band was in fact\, our second line-up. That set the course of seeking out the most talented musicians and having a revolving door for stars to join us while in between their tours. And it worked! No bored players here.
