Her journey began during the pandemic\, when she pulled an old Stratocaster from her garage\, fixed it up\, and taught herself to play by ear—unlocking a voice and style entirely her own. She has since formed Bella Rayne Band\, a high-energy\, guitar-driven ensemble that has quickly become one of the most talked-about rising acts on the live circuit. Led by a young lineup of seasoned musicians\, the band has surged from small rooms to coast-to-coast stages and festival lineups in a remarkably short time\, with crowds growing at every stop. Their sets are explosive and ever- evolving—blending soulful Southern rock\, modern Americana\, and improvisational jam with bold reinterpretations of Grateful Dead classics alongside Bella’s own originals. In addition\, she has been invited to iconic stages nationwide including The Fillmore SF\, The Orpheum LA\, Sweetwater Music Hall\, The Hamilton\, and even celebrated her 18th birthday with a set on the Prudential stage at Bottlerock Napa festival. One of the most iconic moments of her rising career: she was entrusted to play the legendary guitar known as “Alligator” — once wielded by Jerry Garcia. That honor\, courtesy of Grateful Guitars Foundation\, has become a defining chapter in Bella’s journey and Guitar Player magazine recently recognized her as one of the players “keeping the Dead alive” alongside Jeff Mason (Dark Star Orchestra) and Tom Hamilton (JRAD) in an article from May 2025.

SUMMARY:King Yellowman
DESCRIPTION:Jamaica’s first dancehall superstar\, Yellowman ushered in a new era in reggae music following Bob Marley’s death. His early-’80s success brought the popularity of toasting — the reggae equivalent of rapping — to a whole new level\, and helped establish dancehall as the wave of the future. For better or for worse\, he also epitomized dancehall’s penchant for “slack” lyrics — that is\, casual violence\, sexism\, homophobia\, and general rudeness. Graphic sexuality was his particular forte\, reaching levels of explicitness previously unheard in Jamaica. It brought him numerous detractors\, but it was also a big reason for his early popularity. There was more to it than that\, though; Yellowman was one of the most verbally nimble toasters of his time\, with a loose\, easy flow\, a talent for improvisation\, and a definite wit in his wordplay. Plus\, all the boasting about his prowess on the mic or in the bedroom had to be over the top to be convincing: true to his stage name\, Yellowman is an albino\, which carries a tremendous social stigma in Jamaica. His rise to stardom was unlikely enough\, but his transformation from untouchable outcast into sex symbol was staggering — and may not even have taken place without his trademark lewdness. Shocking though it could be\, it affirmed him as a sexual being just like his listeners\, and was delivered with enough humor to let the audience know that he didn’t take himself too seriously. Bouts with cancer pushed him into more thoughtful\, socially conscious territory in the 1990s\, but his initial style remains the most influential\, paving the way for countless dancehall toasters to follow. He remained quiet through most of the 2000s before mounting a comeback with 2019’s\nNo More War.

DESCRIPTION:Boston based trombonist Brian Thomas has been a crusader for funk\, jazz\, soul & reggae music in New England and beyond for over 20 years. His vibrant stage presence and distinctive funky style are on full display whenever he is on the stage. Whether he is co-leading big band funk powerhouse BT ALC Big Band \, with nu-jazz sextet Duo chrome\, or directing the rotating cast\nmusicians that are the BT Allstars\, Brian strives to achieve his goal to deliver positive music for your mind and body that keeps your head bobbing and your soul full. Brian has consistently focused on creating and recording original music. He dropped his newest release in May of 2024 “Live At The Fallout Shelter Set 1” with “Live At The Fallout Shelter Set 2” slated to be released July 5th\, 2024. Both of these albums were recorded live on 12/30/23 in Norwood\, MA and are an authentic presentation of what Brian does live on a nightly basis. These albums are follow ups to his debut solo album “On The Bone” released in 2023 to rave reviews. He also recently collaborated with longtime friend Jared Sims to release the Duo chrome album “Sky View” . In addition to these recording projects\, Brian and Alex Lee-Clark have released five albums with the mighty BT ALC Big Band\, including the most recent one” Hearing The Truth” released in April of 2023. Much of Brian’s early creative output can be found on the four albums released by Akashic Record. Passionate about writing\, horn arranging and recording\, Brian can be found in the studio collaborating with musicians all over the world and most recently has contributed to projects by many of the bands under the Vintage League Music record label led by Alan Evans. \nJorgan Trio+1 brings a powerhouse blend of funky soul organ jazz\, deep grooves\, fiery improvisation\, and infectious energy. In between they’ve recorded 17 studio albums\, 7 live LPs\, 3 compilations\, 2 EPs\, 2 DVDs\, and contributed 40+ guest appearances on their friends’ recordings—all garnering 4 Grammys\, an Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction\, the ALMA Ritchie Valens Pioneer Award\, NEA and Hispanic Heritage Foundation Honors\, Congressional recognitions\, plus countless “Keys to the City” and “Los Lobos Day” celebrations. And those are just a few of the highlights. But beyond all the hoopla and applause (and the source of it all\, really) is the tremendous heart. Rather\, hearts. Cinco corazones. Five blood brothers who have dedicated their off-stage time to helping others\, working for peace and justice\, penning some of the most literate and important music of their time\, transforming the hard cries from the East L.A. barrio into songs of hope\, tales of common folk finding ways to endure. The young wolves were weaned on late-night radio’s soul\, R&B\, and doo-wop. Were cured through the African-American currents of the blues\, jazz\, and rock ‘n’ roll. An amalgam. Pioneering and pushing the limits of technology and sequencing in the late ’70s and through the ’80s\, Greg cemented the synthesizer’s place in rock and pop music\, and his contribution has influenced countless artists since. Along with achieving Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status and massive commercial success with The Cars\, Greg has been a sought-after session and touring musician\, and has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney\, Todd Rundgren\, and The Turtles. \nThe Cars were named Best New Artist in the 1978 Rolling Stone Readers’ Poll. The band’s debut album\, The Cars\, sold six million copies and appeared on the Billboard 200 album chart for 139 weeks. The Cars had four Top 10 hits: “Shake It Up” (1981)\, “You Might Think\,” (1984)\, “Drive” (1984)\, and “Tonight She Comes” (1985). The band won Video of the Year for “You Might Think” at the first MTV Video Music Awards in 1984 \nIn 2016\, Greg collaborated with the acclaimed Boston band Eddie Japan to produce their 2017 album Golden Age. This eventually led to Greg and the band joining forces to create a night of music by The Cars featuring a set list curated by Greg. DESCRIPTION:Carlos Menezes Jr’s BrassFed Nation is a horn-driven groove machine with a unique sound incorporating the styles and traditions of early Jazz\, New Orleans Funk & Soul\, Rhythm & Blues\, Calypso\, and Jamaican Ska! \nFounded in 2013\, The BrassFed Nation is dedicated to the advancement of horn-driven music through exposure and outreach in both education and local musical culture! The collective features 3 unique ensembles; Cape Ann Big Band\, The Jambalaya Horns\, and The 13-Piece DubTone Orchestra – all striving to inspire and connect musicians of all ages through performances\, private studio lessons\, workshops\, and interactive clinics. \nABOUT THIS PERFORMANCE:\nPaying homage to the infectious beats and sounds of New Orleans\, the BrassFed Orchestra will cue the “Big Four” and transport audience members to the streets of the Crescent City for a Holiday Celebration that is full of surprises! This year’s program will showcase members of The Jambalaya Horns and feature a number of guest instrumentalists from the New England music scene!
