SUMMARY:Albert Castiglia
DESCRIPTION:Reserved Seating $34.50 + $6.95 service fee\nGA Standing $19.50 + $6.95 service fee\n6:30pm Doors / 7:00pm Show\n18+ \nAlbert Castiglia pronounced “ka-STEEL-ya” is Keepin On With the release of his 5th CD.\nCastiglia’s history is as colorful as his home town of Miami\, Florida. He got a big break after meeting Junior Wells in 1996\, and became Junior’s lead guitar player before Wells died in 1998. After Wells passed\, he toured with Sandra Hall. Returning to South Florida after launching his solo career releasing his first CD\, Burn (2002)\, a self-release\, collaborating with his long time friend\, Graham Wood Drout. Drout’s songs became the perfect vehicle for Castiglia’s soulful vocals. In 2006\, he released A Stone’s Throw\, his second album and first release for Blues Leaf Record. Castiglia and Drout also released a live CD together\, titled Bittersweet Sessions\, in 2005.His 2008 CD\, These are the Days contained five original Castiglia songs\, including a tribute to his mentor Junior Wells\, “Godfather of the Blues.” The cover songs from These are the Days paid tribute to a wide range of styles and artists. These are the Days earned him a Blues Music Award nomination for “Song of the Year” for his original\, “Bad Year Blues.” Castiglia was nominated again by the Illinois Blues Blast Awards and walked away a winner for “Song of the Year” for “Bad Year Blues\,” as well as being nominated for the “Sean Costello Rising Star Award.” Keepin On features five new original tunes\, plus other covers of songs by John Lee Hooker\, Mack Rice\, T-Bone Walker\, Robert Nighthawk and Bob Dylan “I did two acoustic songs and enlisted dobro genius Toby Walker for them\,’ says Castiglia about the new CD. “Toby came in originally to play on a song I wrote called ‘Sweet Southern Angel.’ That went so well and quickly\, that we wound up doing another number for the hell of it\, Robert Nighthawk’s ‘Murderin’ Blues.’ I can honestly sum up those two tunes with one word\, ‘Magic.’\nThe result is a fascinating journey into what Albert feels is his best work to date.

SUMMARY:Heavy Metal Horns - Live at The Cut Album Release Party
DESCRIPTION:8/15/25\nReserved Seating $45\nGA Standing $30\n7:00pm doors / 8:00pm show\n21+\, Positive I.D. Required \nThe Heavy Metal Horns came onto the Boston music scene in the late 80’s and thrived throughout the 90’s. They quickly became one of top bands in the city – winning awards\, selling out shows and playing major jazz festivals across the country. The horn section played on Extreme’s “Stop The World” tour in 1993. This led to being signed to the Japanese record label Polystar Records. The band toured the U.S. over the next five years and continued to play until early 2000. \nIn 2016 the legendary club Johnny D’s announced it was closing its doors. The club asked if the Heavy Metal Horns could play a show as one of the clubs most popular acts. This show was amazing and the audience said we had to keep playing. Every year since 2016 the band plays a show. \nThe Heavy Metal Horns sold out big boat cruises\, The Cabot Theater in Beverly\, MA three times. Last year the band performed at The Cut Live in Gloucester\, MA. This show was recorded and “Heavy Metal Horns Live From The Cut” will be released in August 2025. The band is always adding new music. \nThe new release features new songs from Thaddedus Hogarth\, Peter Calo and Felix Rentschler. SUMMARY:The Dirty Dozen Brass Band
DESCRIPTION:8/13/25\nReserved Seating $34.50 – $39.50\nGA Standing $24.50\n7:00pm Doors\, 8:00pm Show\n18+\, Positive I.D. Required \nTHE DIRTY DOZEN BRASS BAND \nCelebrating over 45 years since their founding in 1977\, the GRAMMY Award-winning New Orleans-based Dirty Dozen Brass Band has taken the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporated it into a blend of genres\, including bebop jazz\, funk and R&B/soul. This unique sound\, described by the band as a “musical gumbo”\, has allowed the Dirty Dozen to tour across five continents and more than thirty countries\, record twelve studio albums and collaborate with a range of artists from Modest Mouse to Widespread Panic to Norah Jones. Forty-five plus years later\, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a world-famous music machine whose name is synonymous with genre-bending romps and high-octane performances. \nRoger Lewis – Baritone Sax/Vocals\nGregory Davis – Trumpet/Vocals\nKirk Joseph – Sousaphone Trevarri\nHuff-Boone – Tenor Sax/Vocals\nStephen Walker – Trombone/Vocals\nJulian Addison – Drums\nTakeshi Shimmura – Guitar \nTHE HISTORY OF THE DIRTY DOZEN BRASS BAND In 1977\, The Dirty Dozen Social Aid and Pleasure Club in New Orleans began showcasing a traditional Crescent City brass band. It was a joining of two proud\, but antiquated\, traditions at the time: social aid and pleasure clubs dated back over a century to a time when black southerners could rarely afford life insurance\, and the clubs would provide proper funeral arrangements. Brass bands\, early predecessors of jazz as we know it\, would often follow the funeral procession playing somber dirges\, then once the family of the deceased was out of earshot\, burst into jubilant dance tunes as casual onlookers danced in the streets. By the late ’70s\, few of either existed. The Dirty Dozen Social Aid and Pleasure Club decided to assemble this group as a house band\, and over the course of these early gigs\, the seven-member ensemble adopted the venue’s name: The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

SUMMARY:Captain Jack and the Strangers - Jack's Bday Bash!
DESCRIPTION:8/2/2025\n$32 Reserved Seats / $26 GA Standing\n21+ / Positive I.D. Required.\n7p doors / 8p show \nCaptain Jack & The Strangers\, comprised of six individuals hailing from Gloucester\, MA (45 min north of Boston) with over 30 years experience in music and performance. The band is fronted by 24 year old piano phenom\, Jack Favazza\, who brings a youthful exuberance to this classic American songbook. This group plays a wide catalogue of music from America’s own Piano Man\, Billy Joel\, spanning his entire musical career from the 70’s\, 80’s\, and 90’s. Playing both well known hits\, alongside of b-side fan favorites\, there are surely songs to appease any audience member. \nWith a long standing passion for the music of Billy Joel\, the band formed in late 2022\, after founding members had seen a performance of Billy at the legendary Fenway Park in Boston\, MA during the summer of that same year. That performance solidified the decision to perform Billy Joel’s music to as many people as possible. Gloucester has a long history of talented artists\, and Captain Jack & The Strangers is no different. A local “supergroup” of musicians from well known acts such as Groove Therapy\, The Spynz\, Mystery Meat\, and the Neon 90’s have formed this group to bring you the high energy\, soft somber moments\, and everything in between that Billy Joel is so well known for. Listening to any song at a show will surely invoke your favorite memories and emotions when you hear a specific Billy Joel song done in a way that only Captain Jack & The Strangers can do.

Bastos – Vocals DD is no stranger to the stage. She began singing in church at the age of 5 years old. Music has always been her passion. D.D. earned second chair in the All-Eastern Honors Ensemble representing Massachusetts which garnered her a scholarship. After college D.D. began performing with local bands throughout NE which led to the inception of her band DD & The Road Kings. Her work put her closely associated with the fraternity that is; Roomful of Blues\, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones\, The Broadcasters and the dozens of splinter groups who have branched off — shaping many other New England Blues bands. Certainly\, when three of them show up on D.D. and the Road Kings’ album Lover Bird\, which was well received by critics and fans alike\, there is a common thread that can be traced back to the ’60s Blues revival. D.D. is also a Choral Director in the public school system with 20+ years as a private music teacher. Her love of singing is what fuels her soulful and powerful performances. \nChris Vachon – Guitar Chris is a true multi-talent. Upon retirement he performed with local blues artist Chris Stoval Brown and other wellknown blues artist in the Boston area. It was Rich’s interest in the swinging bands of the ’30s and ’40s that led Roomful to forge the distinctive sound that has become the band’s trademark. A man who can play both sides of the fence\, lyrically tender or blisteringly hot\, Rich has a big\, warm tone that is always jam-packed with feeling. His melodic inventiveness reflects the depth and breadth of his wide-ranging influences. Rich worked with various local and high- school bands before beginning his long-term relationship with Roomful. \nCraig Thomas – Baritone and Tenor Sax Craig was born in Washington DC and grew up in Maryland. At a young age Craig heard an early rock and roll instrumental “Wild Weekend” by the Rockin’ Rebels which inspired him to take up the saxophone. Walker currently tours the country 35 to 45 weeks a year performing live\, and guesting on game shows and late night television. SUMMARY:GA-20 with Jay Aptt and The MaliCaminos
DESCRIPTION:7/5/25\nReserved Seating $35\nGA Standing $20\n7:00pm Doors / 8:00pm Show\n18+ / Positive I.D. Required \nGA-20 \nSince 2018\, GA-20 has been at the forefront of a traditional Blues revival. The dynamic throwback trio have long been disciples of the place where traditional Blues\, Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll intersect. “We make records that we would want to listen to\,” says guitarist Matt Stubbs. “It’s our take on the song-based traditional electric Blues we love.” Stubbs\, along with guitarist & vocalist Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans\, strive to bring traditional Blues to the front lines of the modern roots music scene. “The focus for us has always been on the story\, the melody\, and on creating a mood\,” Stubbs continues. “Traditional Country and Soul have all had these massive recent revivals. We want to be part of doing that for traditional Blues music.” \nGA-20 has drawn inspiration for their old-school sounds from the music they love by artists such as Otis Rush\, J.B. Lenoir\, Howlin’ Wolf\, Junior Wells\, Hound Dog Taylor\, Earl Hooker\, Johnny ‘Guitar’ Watson and so many others. Performing with what feels like reckless abandon\, GA-20 brings a timeless immediacy to every song they play with a sound that continues to grow and evolve. The band uses vintage instruments and amps to produce their authentic sound\, and favours traditional recording techniques\, like recording live off the floor together in one room\, to help recreate that energy and sonic connection. \nIn their short history\, GA-20 have been 3x #1 Billboard Blues chart toppers\, 4x Boston Music Award winners for Best Blues Act\, and have received multiple wins and nominations at the Blues Music Awards\, Blues Blast Awards\, New England Blues Awards\, and have ascended streaming and radio charts at home and internationally. Medium.com has appropriately declared\, “This is the kind of music that travels through time while taking from the era where it was born and turning it into something fresh. Dirty and raw…timeless and modern.”’s sound. \nJAY APTT AND THE MALICAMINOS \nJay Aptt discovered his love for cars\, guitars\, the MaliCamino\, blues\, rock and soul at 16. \nSince days and years ago\, hauling equipment in the MaliCamino\, he’s shared the stage with greats\, James Montgomery\, Johnny A of Peter Wolf/Yardbirds\, Joe Nadeau of Kenny Wayne Shepherd band\, Mike O’Connell\, Lois Lane\, Barrence Whitfield\, Erinn Brown\, Lisa Marie\, Borderland Allstars and more. \nThe Malicamino…a creation of brother Dave’s ass haulin’\, tire smokin’ ’78 Malibu and a Diablo Red El Camino. Bastardized and hand cut smoldering to create the unmistakable\, head turning Malicamino. \nRiding shotgun is his long time partner in crime Ben [OB1] Ferrini on bass – who sometimes rode in the back holding down the equipment on the road.

SUMMARY:A Night of Comedy featuring Steve Sweeney and Jody Sloane
DESCRIPTION:6/27/25\nReserved Seating $30\nGA Standing $15.00\n7:00pm Doors\, 8:00pm Show\n21+\, Positive I.D. Required \nSteve Sweeney Boston Comedy LEGEND featuring Jody Slaone \nCharlestown-born Steve Sweeney is known as the “undisputed King of Boston comedy“\, the embodiment of the city he calls home\, a local guy who has become a nationally recognizable talent. \nSweeney is known not only as a headlining comedian\, but also through his many memorable TV and movie appearances. During the early 1970s\, a small group of Boston ‘would-be’ comedians performed regularly at a comedy club started by Martin Olson and Barry Crimmins in a back room of the Chinese restaurant\, Ding-Ho\, near Inman Square in Cambridge\, MA. This group also included such unknowns as Lenny Clarke\, Kevin Meaney\, Jay Leno\, Bobcat Goldthwait\, Bill Sohonage\, and Steven Wright. Steve stood out from the crowd by incorporating his great insight into the New England political scene into his act. \nHe was the first of the Boston super-stars to break into television\, appearing on “Park Street Under\,” a Boston based sitcom that many believe was the inspiration for the highly successful television show “Cheers.” He’s also been on “Late Night with David Letterman\,” “Evening at The Improv” and “Comics Come Home.” You might remember his small but hilarious parts in films such as Rodney Dangerfield’s “Back to School\,” Judd Apatow’s “Celtic Pride\,” and “There’s Something About Mary” with Ben Stiller. \nHe was on the morning show on 100.7 FM WZLX\, first with “Mornings with Tai and Steve Sweeney”\, followed by “Steve Sweeney’s Neighborhood” after Tai left the station. In 2005 he opened Steve Sweeney’s Comedy Club in Boston’s Copley Square with longtime friend Dick Doherty. \nJody Sloane \nGrowing up\, Sloane had a knack for finding humor in the darkest corners of life. Whether it was the absurdity of a government cheese sculpture or the quirks of her mother’s self-medicating with Winstons and Ring Dings\, nothing was off-limits for her infectious laughter-inducing commentary. Her friends quickly learned that any situation could become a comedy goldmine with her around. \nFast forward to mid-life\, Sloane cut her entertainment teeth doing her sit-down schtick as a cheeky conductor on the Boston duck tours. Her duck tour experience was the perfect tee up to becoming a standup comedian. She’s now a regular at esteemed comedy venues from New York to Maine and has been featured in several comedy festivals\, including Laugh Your Asheville Off\, Boston Comedy Festival\, and The Women In Comedy Festival. \nIf you’re ready to embrace the perversely hilarious\, and you’re not afraid to explore the comical underbelly of life\, then Sloane is your guide. Get ready to indulge your inner imp and join Jody Sloane for a night of comedy that’s delightfully twisted and wickedly entertaining.

Required \nAfter a five-year hiatus\, Closet Case returns to Gloucester with a new cast of characters as well as some familiar faces. Kicking off St. Peter’s Fiesta Week\, Closet Case is ready to re-VAMP the party. \nThis next chapter fuses classic drag\, burlesque\, and boundary-pushing performance art\, celebrating local talent unafraid to bare their souls—and more-enticing the crowd with something tantalizing and tangible. We’re turning up the heat and offering a reminder: sometimes the most radical act is to revel in pleasure\, self-expression\, and a little sexual summer healing. Don’t we all deserve it? \nWe waited long enough for it….LET’S VAMP IT UP.
