SUMMARY:A Night of Comedy featuring Jimmie "JJ" Walker
DESCRIPTION:7/26/25\nReserved Seating $35-$40\nGA Standing $20.00\n7:00pm Doors\, 8:00pm Show\n21+\, Positive I.D. Required \nRising from the streets of New York’s ghettos to television superstardom\, Jimmie Walker personifies the great American success story. His catch phrase “Dyn-o-mite!” is part of the modern vernacular\, and he became such a major celebrity in the 1970’s that Time Magazine named him “Comedian of the Decade. \nSpotted by the casting director for Norman Lear of “All in the Family” fame\, Jimmie accepted a part in Lear’s new urban-styled comedy series\, “Good Times.” The role of the broadly strutting\, wisecracking J.J. Evans would launch him into television superstardom. “Dyn-o-mite!” was the phrase that made him famous nationwide. As “Good Times” enjoyed a six year run\, Walker’s fame grew exponentially. He was the first winner of the NAACP Image Award\, and won a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He appeared on The Mac Davis Show\, Donny and Marie\, The John Davidson Show\, The Merv Griffin Show\, Dinah\, The Mike Douglas Show\, The Hollywood Squares\, and the Match Game. Clothing\, tee-shirts and even a talking doll that blurted out his signature catch phrase were soon on store shelves everywhere. \nBut despite all Jimmie’s success on the big and small screens\, stand-up comedy remains his first love. Walker currently tours the country 35 to 45 weeks a year performing live\, and guesting on game shows and late night television. In his spare time he writes scripts for TV and movies\, and continues to enjoy a comedy career now approaching five decades.

SUMMARY:GA-20 with Jay Aptt and The MaliCaminos
DESCRIPTION:7/5/25\nReserved Seating $35\nGA Standing $20\n7:00pm Doors / 8:00pm Show\n18+ / Positive I.D. Required \nGA-20 \nSince 2018\, GA-20 has been at the forefront of a traditional Blues revival. The dynamic throwback trio have long been disciples of the place where traditional Blues\, Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll intersect. “We make records that we would want to listen to\,” says guitarist Matt Stubbs. “It’s our take on the song-based traditional electric Blues we love.” Stubbs\, along with guitarist & vocalist Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans\, strive to bring traditional Blues to the front lines of the modern roots music scene. “The focus for us has always been on the story\, the melody\, and on creating a mood\,” Stubbs continues. “Traditional Country and Soul have all had these massive recent revivals. We want to be part of doing that for traditional Blues music.” \nGA-20 has drawn inspiration for their old-school sounds from the music they love by artists such as Otis Rush\, J.B. Lenoir\, Howlin’ Wolf\, Junior Wells\, Hound Dog Taylor\, Earl Hooker\, Johnny ‘Guitar’ Watson and so many others. Performing with what feels like reckless abandon\, GA-20 brings a timeless immediacy to every song they play with a sound that continues to grow and evolve. The band uses vintage instruments and amps to produce their authentic sound\, and favours traditional recording techniques\, like recording live off the floor together in one room\, to help recreate that energy and sonic connection. \nIn their short history\, GA-20 have been 3x #1 Billboard Blues chart toppers\, 4x Boston Music Award winners for Best Blues Act\, and have received multiple wins and nominations at the Blues Music Awards\, Blues Blast Awards\, New England Blues Awards\, and have ascended streaming and radio charts at home and internationally. Medium.com has appropriately declared\, “This is the kind of music that travels through time while taking from the era where it was born and turning it into something fresh. Dirty and raw…timeless and modern.”’s sound. \nJAY APTT AND THE MALICAMINOS \nJay Aptt discovered his love for cars\, guitars\, the MaliCamino\, blues\, rock and soul at 16. \nSince days and years ago\, hauling equipment in the MaliCamino\, he’s shared the stage with greats\, James Montgomery\, Johnny A of Peter Wolf/Yardbirds\, Joe Nadeau of Kenny Wayne Shepherd band\, Mike O’Connell\, Lois Lane\, Barrence Whitfield\, Erinn Brown\, Lisa Marie\, Borderland Allstars and more. \nThe Malicamino…a creation of brother Dave’s ass haulin’\, tire smokin’ ’78 Malibu and a Diablo Red El Camino. Bastardized and hand cut smoldering to create the unmistakable\, head turning Malicamino. \nRiding shotgun is his long time partner in crime Ben [OB1] Ferrini on bass – who sometimes rode in the back holding down the equipment on the road.

SUMMARY:A Night of Comedy featuring Steve Sweeney and Jody Sloane
DESCRIPTION:6/27/25\nReserved Seating $30\nGA Standing $15.00\n7:00pm Doors\, 8:00pm Show\n21+\, Positive I.D. Required \nSteve Sweeney Boston Comedy LEGEND featuring Jody Slaone \nCharlestown-born Steve Sweeney is known as the “undisputed King of Boston comedy“\, the embodiment of the city he calls home\, a local guy who has become a nationally recognizable talent. \nSweeney is known not only as a headlining comedian\, but also through his many memorable TV and movie appearances. During the early 1970s\, a small group of Boston ‘would-be’ comedians performed regularly at a comedy club started by Martin Olson and Barry Crimmins in a back room of the Chinese restaurant\, Ding-Ho\, near Inman Square in Cambridge\, MA. This group also included such unknowns as Lenny Clarke\, Kevin Meaney\, Jay Leno\, Bobcat Goldthwait\, Bill Sohonage\, and Steven Wright. Steve stood out from the crowd by incorporating his great insight into the New England political scene into his act. \nHe was the first of the Boston super-stars to break into television\, appearing on “Park Street Under\,” a Boston based sitcom that many believe was the inspiration for the highly successful television show “Cheers.” He’s also been on “Late Night with David Letterman\,” “Evening at The Improv” and “Comics Come Home.” You might remember his small but hilarious parts in films such as Rodney Dangerfield’s “Back to School\,” Judd Apatow’s “Celtic Pride\,” and “There’s Something About Mary” with Ben Stiller. \nHe was on the morning show on 100.7 FM WZLX\, first with “Mornings with Tai and Steve Sweeney”\, followed by “Steve Sweeney’s Neighborhood” after Tai left the station. In 2005 he opened Steve Sweeney’s Comedy Club in Boston’s Copley Square with longtime friend Dick Doherty. \nJody Sloane \nGrowing up\, Sloane had a knack for finding humor in the darkest corners of life. Whether it was the absurdity of a government cheese sculpture or the quirks of her mother’s self-medicating with Winstons and Ring Dings\, nothing was off-limits for her infectious laughter-inducing commentary. Her friends quickly learned that any situation could become a comedy goldmine with her around. \nFast forward to mid-life\, Sloane cut her entertainment teeth doing her sit-down schtick as a cheeky conductor on the Boston duck tours. Her duck tour experience was the perfect tee up to becoming a standup comedian. She’s now a regular at esteemed comedy venues from New York to Maine and has been featured in several comedy festivals\, including Laugh Your Asheville Off\, Boston Comedy Festival\, and The Women In Comedy Festival. \nIf you’re ready to embrace the perversely hilarious\, and you’re not afraid to explore the comical underbelly of life\, then Sloane is your guide. Get ready to indulge your inner imp and join Jody Sloane for a night of comedy that’s delightfully twisted and wickedly entertaining.

Kicking off St. Peter’s Fiesta Week\, Closet Case is ready to re-VAMP the party. \nThis next chapter fuses classic drag\, burlesque\, and boundary-pushing performance art\, celebrating local talent unafraid to bare their souls—and more-enticing the crowd with something tantalizing and tangible. We’re turning up the heat and offering a reminder: sometimes the most radical act is to revel in pleasure\, self-expression\, and a little sexual summer healing. SUMMARY:Mighty Mystic with Mike Francis and Different Strokez
DESCRIPTION:5/10/25\nReserved Seating $35\nStanding $25\n7:30pm Doors\, 8:00pm Show\n21+\, Positive I.D. Required \nMighty Mystic is considered as one of the leaders in the international reggae scene and is a box office draw at venues and a staple at festivals. The Jamaican born U.S. based artist has 5 highly acclaimed albums 4 of which charted top 10 on Billboard and iTunes. He is labeled as a touring machine with roughly 40 tours equaling thousands of concerts and a career spanning two decades. His high flying\, stage diving\, brand of reggae music is electrifying and has been captivating audiences everywhere. He has gone from being a fan of reggae music to being a major contributor to the art. Mighty Mystic came on the scene in 2006 after scoring back-to-back international hits with “Riding on the Clouds” and “Revolution”. However\, it wasn’t until the release of his first album “Wake up the World” (2010) that he became a household name. “Wake up the World” was a chart-topping album with guest appearance by reggae icon Shaggy. Mystic continues to wake up the world with energy and passion and a brand of his own which he emphatically calls “Hard Roots”. FUN FACT: Mighty Mystic is also the younger brother of current Jamaican Prime Minister the Honorable Andrew Holness. When asked\, does being the brother of Prime Minister Holness have any impact on your music? Mystic simply says “Andrew has a job to do and so do I\, impact or not we both have our own mission to complete”. THE EARLY YEARS Mighty Mystic was born Kevin Mark Holness in the farming community of Goshen\, St. Elizabeth\, Jamaica to parents Morris & Sonia Holness. As a child\, Kevin showed early interest in his native island’s music. It was common to hear him singing the latest tunes while imitating the actions of popular reggae artists. When Kevin was 9\, the family left Goshen and relocated to Boston. Though oceans apart Kevin never lost the passion for his beloved reggae music. Kevin alongside his brother Stephen began performing at school talent shows\, outdoor gatherings and anywhere a mic was on display and quickly made a name for themselves as the “reggae rappers”. Soon after the brothers formed their first band the “Thunder Band”. Kevin became “Mystic” as it was his dads nickname and also the name of the area in Boston where he lived. With Mystic on vocals and Stephen on the lightening sharp guitar the brothers would score a National hit (Riding on the Clouds) and a Global hit (Revolution) on their two first releases. This early success and family bond would be the foundation of which carefully crafted reggae music would flow. MYSTIC OF TODAY Though his brother Stephen has since retired\, Mighty Mystic has continued to carry the reggae torch. And is now a Globally respected and sought-after artist on the reggae scene. SUMMARY:C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band
DESCRIPTION:3/6/25\nReserved Seats $30\nStanding $24\n7pm Doors / 7:30pm Show\n21+ / Positive I.D. Required \nClayton Joseph Chenier is Creole music royalty. His father\, the legendary Clifton Chenier\, invented the style of music we know today as Zydeco and was the first Creole musician to be recognized with a Grammy Award. \nC.J. joined his Father’s band on his 21st birthday. On the road his father showed him how to front a world class touring band\, teaching C.J.\, a multi-instrumentalist\, how to run the family business and how to develop his lifelong passion for music into a career. When Clifton died in 1987 his son\, C.J.\, adopted the Red Hot Louisiana Band and recorded his debut album for the great American independent label Arhoolie Records. \nAttending a C.J. Chenier show is a transformative experience. You may come in tired and beat up just from living in this world – but you will leave renewed and happy. And that is the promise C.J. makes\, “You can’t come to my show and stay unhappy. You’re going to break a smile before too long. This is happy music.”

SUMMARY:Amythyst Kiah
DESCRIPTION:3/5/25\nReserved Seats $25\nStanding $20\n7:00pm Doors / 7:30pm Show\n18+\, Positive I.D. Required \nOn her new album Still + Bright\, Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter Amythyst Kiah explores the vast expanse of her inner world: her deep-rooted affinity for Eastern philosophies and spiritual traditions\, a near-mystical connection with the natural environment\, the life lessons learned in her formative years as a self-described “anime-nerd mall goth\,” and much more. Produced by Butch Walker (Taylor Swift\, Green Day\, Weezer) and recorded at his Nashville studio\, Kiah’s second full-length for Rounder Records merges her revelatory storytelling with a darkly cinematic twist on the rootsy alt-rock of her 2021 breakthrough Wary + Strange—an LP that landed on Rolling Stone’s list of the 25 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2021 and drew acclaim from major outlets like Pitchfork. With its sonic palette encompassing everything from fuzzed-out guitars and industrial-leaning beats to gilded pedal steel and Kiah’s exquisitely graceful banjo work\, Still + Bright makes for a vital new addition to a body of work largely dedicated to exploring the struggle and joy of true self-discovery. \nThe latest turn in a dynamic career that’s included joining Our Native Daughters (an all-women-of-color supergroup also featuring Rhiannon Giddens\, Leyla McCalla\, and Allison Russell)\, Still + Bright emerged from a deliberate transformation of the songwriting process Kiah adopted after composing her first song on a Fender acoustic at age 13. To that end\, the album marks her first time opening up her approach and working with co-writers\, including punk legend Tim Armstrong\, Sadler Vaden (a guitarist/vocalist for Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit)\, and former Pentatonix member Avi Kaplan. Although her third LP is an undeniable departure from the anguished emotionality of its predecessor (an album informed by losing her mother to suicide at age 17)\, Kiah imparts each track with a hypnotic intensity born from boldly stating her convictions. Revealing her rare ability to spin her fascinations into songs uncovering essential truths about human nature\, Still + Bright ultimately affirms her as an artist of both daring originality and uncompromising depth.
