Ward Reservation offers something for everyone.
Drumlin hilltops, including Boston, Shrub, and Holt offer exceptional hiking opportunities with vistas encompassing Boston and Salem. More than ten miles of trails and former woods roads are ideal for walking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and cross country skiing. A rare quaking bog is accessed via boardwalk with an interpretive brochure for the bog at trailhead kiosks. Ward Reservation is one of 111 properties in the Commonwealth, including working farms, historic homesteads and gardens, community parks, barrier beaches, and mountain vistas owned and managed by the non-profit organization The Trustees of Reservations.
