2025 Bread & Roses Festival

Our 41st annual Bread & Roses Heritage Festival will take place, as always, on Labor Day at the Campagnone Common in Lawrence, MA – so mark your calendar for September 1, rain or shine! This year’s theme is “Rooted in Community: From Seed to Strength.” At a time when so many of us and our loved ones are feeling fear, uncertainty and danger, we wanted to emphasize the importance of community. We support one another, we keep each other grounded, we provide safety and solidarity with one another, especially in times of crisis. The spirit of the Bread and Roses strike is to stand collectively and fight back against attacks on workers, immigrants, and people of all races, genders and abilities – and that is what we do every year at the Festival. By joining together for celebration, music, dance, art, and history, we remind one another of what’s most important and most valuable about our communities.
