Kiyoshi Hayashi is a professional violinist, health and career coach, speaker, and entrepreneur based in Boston, MA. He is the founder and Managing Director of Rasa String Quartet, is a Co-Artistic Director of Palaver Strings and is the Career Advising Manager at the New England Conservatory of Music. In this talk, Kiyoshi shares how to design a happy, healthy and fulfilling career as a musician.
Kiyoshi is passionate about using music to catalyze social change and empowering young musicians in developing the business skills and holistic lifestyle necessary to design meaningful and sustainable careers. Kiyoshi is a NASM certified personal trainer and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2017. He has over 7 years of experience working in the wellness industry, working first as a personal trainer at Equinox Fitness Club, and then launching his personal coaching business where he has served over 30 musicians — helping them achieve their career and wellness goals.
Additionally, Kiyoshi has given workshops at the New England Conservatory of Music, the Longy School of Music, Palaver Strings, and Vital Village Network on topics such as: how to make behavior change, designing a fulfilling and sustainable career, entrepreneurship for the modern musician, confidence and mindset, and stress management.
