The original 1964 film ‘Santa Claus Conquers the Martians!’ is a campy sci-fi holiday movie that has gained a reputation for being so bad it’s good, regularly appearing on lists of the worst films ever made. Local editor, Andy Diskes, has breathed new life into 1964’s “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” with a fresh edit, preserving the movie’s campy spirit and low-budget special effects, while trimming down its notorious pacing. This streamlined one hour (approx.) version promises a zany, nostalgic experience without losing respect for the original cast and production.
SYNOPSIS:
When Martian children grow unhappy and fixated on Earth’s Christmas traditions, their leaders decide to kidnap Santa Claus to bring joy to Mars. Along the way, they also capture two Earth children who help Santa spread Christmas cheer, despite sabotage attempts by the grumpy Martian Voldar.
