Laila McQueen is the stage name of Gloucester’s own Tyler Devlin. Tyler competed as Laila on the MTV reality competition show RuPaul‘s Drag Race in 2016. He went on to perform the world over in countries including Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. In 2020 he became a make-up artist on HBO’s drag makeover series We’re Here for which he won the EMMY award for “Outstanding Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program” in 2022. “Homecoming” marks Laila’s first performance in Gloucester since 2019. https://www.instagram.com/misslailamcqueen/
