Introduction to Soft Pastel Painting with Annette Sykes

During this welcoming, hands-on workshop at the Marblehead Arts Association, you’ll be introduced to the unique qualities of soft pastels, exploring value, light and color as you create your own pastel painting. You’ll be guided in composition & observation, and learn the fundamental techniques of mark-making, layering, blending, depth and form.

The workshop is designed to build confidence and teach the knowledge for you to paint independently. Class runs 9am-2pm. Bring a bag lunch. MAA Members: $50. Non-members: $60. Registration at marbleheadarts.org/calendar
