Just in time for the election, Barbara Berenson will discuss her book Massachusetts in the Women’s Suffrage Movement at the Marblehead Museum. This talk will also be livecast over Zoom.
Massachusetts was at the center of the national struggle for women’s rights. Activists from the Boston-based American Women’s Suffrage Association led campaigns across the state, and they met with fierce opposition to the idea of women at the ballot box, from men and women alike.
Barbara Berenson, a professor at Harvard Law School, gives these revolutionary reformers the attention they deserve.
This talk will be held at the Marblehead Museum on Wednesday, September 18 at 7pm. Tickets are available in-person or via Zoom, at https://marbleheadmuseum.org/upcoming-programs-page/
