Terra String Quartet | Sydney Baedke, soprano | Barry Shiffman, viola | Colin Carr, cello

A program of romantic chamber music for strings taking us from the infatuation of the young Webern to the nostalgia of late Strauss, via the tragedy of young love from Zemlinsky, and the anguish that drives Mendelssohn’s final string quartet. The all-star ensemble is led by the Terra Quartet, Silver medalist of the Melbourne Chamber Competition.

Program
STRAUSS: Capriccio, Op. 85
WEBERN: Langsamer Satz
ZEMLINSKY: Maiblumen Blühten überall, “Mayflowers Blossomed Everywhere”
