Under the stillness of February’s crescent Snow Moon, Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm opens its gates for a winter celebration that honors the beauty of the land, the history of rural New England, and the simple traditions that carried farmers and Native Americans through the coldest season. Walk the winter fields, enjoy traditional Irish folk music from Killeeshil, sip hot cider and make s’mores, buy a taco from Metzy’s Food Truck, listen to interactive Indigenous stories, learn to drum, and take part in a traditional Nipmuc dance led by Larry Spotted Crow Mann of the Ohketeau Cultural Center.
This program is funded in part by a grant from the Newbury Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
