Farm Fun

Fall is harvest season, which is always worth coming to New England to experience. From fresh apples to pumpkins to other autumn crops, the farms in Ipswich are full of the freshest fruits and vegetables you could ask for.

Russell Orchards

Russell Orchards has an abundance of fall fun to experience. Delicious apple cider is pressed fresh every week between September and November. Check out the winery and sip on flights on Friday through Sunday, or purchase bottles of wine at the farm store. It’s not fall in New England if you don’t indulge in some fresh-baked apple cider donuts. Not hungry? Come to the barnyard to see the assortment of adorable animals like chickens, potbellied pigs, and even peacocks. Just be sure to get to Russell Orchards before the Sunday after Thanksgiving, otherwise you won’t be able to come again until it reopens in spring.

Marini Farm

If you love baked goods and fresh coffee, start your day at Marini Farm. Their bakers bring the farm’s hand-picked, seasonal produce into their pastries, so you’re sure to get something fresh. The Farm Stand is transformed into a holiday destination for Christmas on The Hill, so it’s a great place to get your holiday shopping done early.
