Spring Family Fun in Danvers, MA

March 25, 2024

Danvers, Massachusetts has grown into a must-visit destination year-round, but spring is especially stunning. From historic sites to parks to one of New England’s largest indoor water parks, you’ll have plenty of fun things to see and do on your next spring vacation.

Get Outside

When spring has sprung, it’s important to get outside and enjoy the return of nature. Endicott Park is Danvers’ premier park with 165 acres of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. If you’ve been stuck inside for months, it’s vital that you enjoy some fresh air and sunshine to chase away the winter blues.

Open 365 days of the year from 9am to sunset, you’ll get to see pastoral views, historic farm buildings, orchards, woodlands, and marshes. There, you’ll enjoy hiking, fishing, picnicking, playgrounds, disc golf, and dog parks. The park was also once a thriving gentleman’s farm known as Glen Magna Farms. It still features the original mansion, a carriage house, hay barn, and animal barn where you can see farm animals thriving. It’s the ideal spring trip, and non-residents just have to pay a $4 parking fee to experience North Shore Magazine’s “Readers’ Choice Best Park.”

Indoor Family Fun

April showers may bring May flowers, but they can also put a damper on your vacation plans. Especially when those plans are designed to keep energetic kids happy and create fun family memories. When inclement spring weather causes your plans to fall through, Danvers has some awesome indoor activities that will keep your family from getting stir-crazy.

Water Park of New England

When the weather isn’t right for the beach, Water Park of New England is the perfect indoor alternative. This year-round water park has 65,000 square feet of thrills for the whole family. Water slides, play areas, kiddie pools, river adventures, and giant whirlpools await swimmers of all ages. If you’d like to stay dry for a while, hit the Key West Arcade where you can challenge your skills with the latest video games. Afterward, grab some terrific food at one of the one-site restaurants, and pick up a souvenir at the gift shop.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park

When the kids are bouncing off the walls because of bad weather, let them literally bounce at Sky Zone Trampoline Park. These one-of-a-kind attractions are designed to push your limits as you jump, bounce, and soar about the place. Try new tricks and feel like a gymnast with floors made out of trampolines, foam ball pits, stunt zones, ropes courses, and more. For the little ones, there are also Toddler and Kid Zones with more age- and height-appropriate activities that will provide hours of fun.

Grab a Drink

To finish off an exciting day, grab a drink at Twisted Fate Brewing. This family owned, majority female-owned nano-brewery has a variety of IPAs, stouts, and Belgian beer that’s all made on-site. Kids are welcome in the taproom too, and can enjoy a menu of pizza, calzones, and chicken finger meals.

Spring is the time to emerge from your home and shake off the winter chill by visiting Danvers. Your next vacation will be unforgettable for the whole family.
