The Thanksgiving Countdown Is On! Here’s Where To Get Your Turkey Day Fix North of Boston
November 18, 2022Whether you’re looking to dress up and head out or get cozy and stay in this Thanksgiving Day, many of our local restaurants and farms are offering dine-in and pick-up options to satisfy even the most discerning diners. No matter where you find the food to fill your soul this season, remember the importance of togetherness, gratitude, and giving thanks for the gifts we receive all year.
Want to eat out? Head to Davio’s Lynnfield for a classic sit-down Thanksgiving Dinner featuring delectable dishes like Oven-Roasted Vermont Free-Range Organic Turkey, Yukon Gold Creamy Potatoes, Orange Glazed Carrots, Butternut Squash, Green Beans, Herb Stuffing, Homemade Gravy, Cranberry Apple Chutney and of course pie! Just because you eat in doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy leftovers! They’re offering a Tomorrow’s Turkey Sandwich add-on so you can take a turkey sandwich to go after dinner. Cost of dinner is $85, dessert is $15, and children under 12 are $23. They’re serving from 11 am to 8pm and reservations can be made online or by calling 781-944-4810.
If you’re hoping to stay home all day check out Davio’s Turkey Dinner at Home option and enjoy their full Thanksgiving menu from the comfort of wherever you please. Place your order by 5 pm on November 22nd and pick up on Wednesday the 23rd or before 11 am on Thanksgiving Day!
The Dining Room and Tavern at Castle Manor Inn in Gloucester are also happy to host guests for a traditional sit-down dinner and they’ve got everything from Herb Roasted Turkey to Honey Glazed Baked Ham and Hand Carved Prime Rib too. Seatings times are from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, reservations and pre-payment are required. Cost is $49 per person plus tax and gratuity, and children under 12 years old are free! Then there’s the Beauport Hotel, which is offering guests two tempting Turkey Day options. Indulge at the 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar on a seaside Thanksgiving dinner featuring a delicious three-course, prix fixe menu with highlights including savory autumn squash bisque, herbed turkey roulade, and pumpkin cheesecake. Staying home? Several of our local farms are also offering Thanksgiving pre-order and pick-ups so you can enjoy tasty to-go options around your family table!
Cider Hill Farm: Thanksgiving turkeys, bread, soups, appetizers, pies, desserts, take & bake items, flowers, and their award-winning cider can all be ordered in advance. Orders are due by Sunday, Nov. 13, and pick-up is available Monday, Nov. 21, Tuesday. Nov. 22 and Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Smolak Farm: Thanksgiving turkeys from Plainville Farms, tasty sides, a variety of pies, and apple crisp are all available for pick-up on Monday, Nov. 21, Tuesday. Nov. 22 and Wednesday, Nov. 23. Turkeys must be ordered in advance and the last day to order pies is Nov. 18th. Thanksgiving sides are not available for pre-order but will be available for purchase in the Farm Stand in the 3 days leading up to Thanksgiving as well as on Thanksgiving day.
Russell Orchards and Marini Farms in Ipswich are both offering pre-orders of their famous holiday pies as well.
