Under new ownership since 2021, The Emerson Inn has been revamped to bring back the jazz era with Roaring 20s art deco flair across all public spaces and many of the 35 en suite rooms, while keeping the historical roots of the Inn clear to all who visit.   Welcoming travelers since 1846, the Inn (operating as the Pigeon Cove House at the time) is located in the picturesque Pigeon Cove area of Rockport, just off the Atlantic Path, and offers a short stroll to Halibut Point State Park.

Wake up to the warm embrace of the rising East Coast sun through the window or enclosed balcony one of our updated yet historical rooms.  Enjoy some coffee or tea and a lazy breakfast on our expansive seaside Veranda, or make yourself at home in one of our rocking chairs with a book from our extensive Library.  Listen to the siren call of our heated salt water pool and spend the day relaxing by the water while the sounds of the ocean wash away life’s every day stressors.

From fresh baked croissants in the morning, to picnic lunches you can pre-order for an afternoon at the beach or pool, to full dinner service in the evenings, our French-inspired Parlor Bar is available for the dining needs of all.  Serving fresh, local seafood and European specialties, paired with a perfectly curated wine list, and featuring the original brews of Rockport Brewing Company, our Parlor Bar features events like our Moonrise parties and live music Thursdays.

Perfect for a one-night stay while visiting family, or a week-long vacation, or a weekend to celebrate a special occasion, make the Emerson Inn your next Rockport destination and your trip will be one for the history books.
