The museum includes period rooms and gallery spaces that display the ups and downs of the area’s past.
Private tours for up to 8 people are available with advance notice from October through May, so be sure to call ahead to book your time. You’ll walk through two floors of an 1808 brick Federal-style home and hear stories of Old Newbury.
Custom House Maritime Museum
From High Street to the shores of the Merrimack, Newburyport is steeped in maritime history that stretches from the seventeenth century to today. Step inside Custom House Maritime Museum to see galleries and collections of maritime objects, art, models, and historical documents. Check out permanent exhibits and specialty annual exhibits that go in-depth about the important people, places, and artifacts in Newburyport’s maritime history.
Walk Along the Waterfront
