Lynch Park

Lynch Park is the Crown Jewel of Beverly. Nestled between a quiet neighborhood and the Atlantic Ocean, it’s considered a dreamy oasis during every season. With each night’s sunset and the ocean as a backdrop, it’s hard to not fall in love with the views. 

Where you want to go for your shoot is actually tucked away within the picturesque landscape of Lynch Park – the Rose Garden. A beautiful courtyard of assorted florals and paved brick walkways lead you to a romantic gazebo at the center of the garden. 

No camera angle is a bad idea in this location. Each corner of the garden offers a unique backdrop, from charming rose-covered archways to tree silhouettes on the ocean. It’s a botanical dream that is completely cost-free other than a parking rate of $15 on weekdays and $25 on weekends. 

Hammond Castle

Perched majestically upon the cliffs of Gloucester, Hammond Castle is one of the hidden gems of the area. Stepping into the castle’s historic halls, couples are transported to a realm of medieval charm and captivating architecture. 

The castle’s unique appeal creates an atmosphere perfect for preserving raw moments of true love. If you’re hoping for an engagement shoot filled with history and romance, Hammond Castle is the epitome of a fairytale location.

While the castle can be explored both inside and out, in order to get access to the interior as well as the full courtyard, you, your partner, and the photographer will need to purchase $20 admission tickets. 

Crane Estate

Stepping onto the picturesque grounds of The Crane Estate in Ipswich, you will be met with timeless romance and natural beauty. Sitting along the Massachusetts coastline, this historic estate offers an enchanting backdrop for one-of-a-kind engagement photos. 

With its sweeping landscapes, stunning gardens, and grand architecture, the estate itself sets the stage for an unforgettable photoshoot. Whether strolling through the meticulously kept gardens or admiring the luxurious mansion, every frame is perfection. 

Though admission tickets are priced at only $10 per person, they grant you unlimited access to the entirety of the estate. You can stay until the museum closes and even enjoy a picnic by the water after your shoot.

Halibut Point State Park

Halibut Point State Park in Rockport is a captivating setting if you are seeking an engagement shoot location that embraces the beauty of nature. Concealed from any urban area, this park makes for a perfectly authentic session. 

Surrounded by breathtaking coastal landscapes, you and your partner can explore rocky cliffs and scenic trails, surrounded by stunning ocean views. The park’s rustic charm and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect location for capturing moments of love.

What makes this location even better is that there is no fee for professional photography or parking between November 1 and May 13! During peak season, parking for MA residents is $5 and $20 for non-MA residents. From the time you park, you are free to explore the entire reservation until it closes at sunset.

Downtown Salem

If you want an engagement shoot with a blend of history and rustic, urban charm, Downtown Salem might be your ideal location. The unique beauty of the city offers streets lined with cobblestones and antique buildings that will help capture a unique session. 

You can choose to explore quaint alleys or vibrant marketplaces (or both!) and discover hidden gems around every corner. Downtown Salem unequivocally presents the nature of an authentic and effortlessly romantic session.

The best part about this location is that aside from metered parking, everything about it is completely free!
